Cinch It! The Belt Post

I know you woke up this morning and were like, "Hey I need a ridiculously awesome belt to spice up this outfit". You know how I know that? Because I'm awesome. But awesomeness aside, I decided to a do a post dedicated solely to belts. Let's face it-- we're women, and the only thing that excites us more than Ryan Gosling without his shirt on is shopping for accessories. Scratch that-- the only thing hotter than Ryan Gosling without his shirt on is Ryan Reynolds without his shirt on. Fact.

But in all seriousness, shoes, purses, belts, jewelry, or scarves are the accessories that can make or break the outfit. I myself am a scarf girl (I wear one almost everyday), but I cannot deny that shoes are my weakness, and belts are without a doubt the topper to all my outfits. So below I have assembled a few belts that are all reasonably priced and would all be a wonderful addition to your outfit. Don't forget that the link appears above each picture, so if you see a belt you love, click on that link to see more pictures, colors, and of course, where to buy it!

A neutral colored belt with some awesome yet subtle hardware? Me likes.

OK, so instead of spending 128 bucks on this one, make it yourself. Or better yet, get a 4 year old to make it, it's that easy. Then send a picture to Sonia Rykiel and ask her what the hell she was thinking when she decided that it was OK to charge $128 for piece of rope and two beads.

Dear Sonia, take note. A robe belt for real humans of the working-and-trying-to-get-by variety. And hey, it's just as cute.

This is kind of like a wear-all belt. There is almost nothing it won't match, and it will add a little fun to your outfit with that green trim while still remaining classic.

Behold the power of neon. I love a good camel colored leather paired with a neon; it brings together chic and trendy in a really cool way. This will really brighten up a denim skirt!

This is one of my favorite belts on this list. It doubles as a necklace. It's awesome. Emphasis on the AWESOME.

Mint is my color of the moment, so this belt (which is only $11.00!) is perfect for summer!

This beaded belt from Anthropologie is super adorable! I love the clean lines and the wider look. Holds more in!

If you're a name-brand-whore, get this one.

So, I'm a bit biased because my name in Hebrew means 'bee', which means I automatically LOVE this belt. Plus, it's all gold, which means I love this belt eve more.

Have a fancy occasion coming up? Need to dress up your dress? Voila. Just add belt.

Pink! Enough said.

This adorable belt from LOFT will look great with an unstructured maxi dress.

This one looks super fun and structured, and would do a hell of a job cinching your waist...and keeping it cinched.

A belt that is as easy as tying your shoes. Fashion simplicity should never be underestimated or overlooked.

Metallic and elastic in the same product. Perfection.

I Do! Modest Brides and Bridesmaids-- or Just Your Average Frummie

Happy do-da day, Ruche just released their Wedding Collection! Now, I'm not a bride, but I am ever the bridesmaid, so this does make me happy in ways it probably shouldn't. Ruche is geared toward the vintage-y bride, but there is no reason this bridesmaid can't revel in a little vintage-y-bride action, especially since their stuff is versatile enough for the everyday woman! Here's a taste of what they have to offer, but make sure you go check out their entire "To Have and To Hold" Collection!

I especially LOVE this Audrey Dress, which is as modest and can be! It is a bit pricey, but I think it's fabulous from start to finish, and you definitely don't have to be a bride to wear it! I happen to find that for the frummie contingent, this collection is more 'engagement party' than it is wedding, but awesome nonetheless!

Add these amazing sash belts (which I just bought) for a touch of class! They are perfect for any dress, not just the Audrey dress!

Looking for a cover up? What frummie isn't?? try some of these, which are super girly and feminine, and perfect for all your Pesach outfits!

Don't forget some perfect-for-spring head-wear! Some of these headbands are so fascinating and beautiful, that if you dare to pull them off, you will be the envy of ladies everywhere. You definitely don't need to be a bride to pull these stunners off!

Floppy Chic

Hats! I love them. I really, really do, and that's why I am doing a post about them. Obviously hats are very frum-friendly for the married folk, but I have such a crush on floppy hats lately, that I feel compelled to post about it and share with both single and married ladies alike.

Floppy hats exude pure effortless chic and make you look and feel like a million-trillion-bajillion dollars (that's a true fact--I tried one on in the store).

Solstice Garden Party

Flowers and garlands and blooms, oh my! Happy first day of summer, y'all! Summer is my favorite season, so I decided to celebrate my summer joy with you in the form of everything flowers.

Aside from florals being, like, HUGE this season, summertime is usually celebrated with everything colorful and flowery. Check out Princess Beatrice in this stunning floral ensemble at the Epsom race (yup, the same one, that Katey rocked the cream frock a few weeks ago).

Inspired? Try some of these:

Lipsy Floral Garland Style Hair Band
I love the way she wears the headband here. New and fresh!

ASOS Genuine Leather Flowers Tie Headband
I have a feeling married people with the sheitels go gaga for this one.
Gladiolus Skirt
Super duper pretty.

KATE SPADE NEW YORK Date Night Ring

Alexander McQueen Tan 3D Flower Wedge
This is just for show.  A McQ is a legend, so enjoy the view.

PRINTED BODY

Back View Dress

Paprika Tie Front Floral Crop Top
Yes, it's a crop top, but wear this with a hgih-waisted skirt, and you're frummie approved.

Lights, Lights Baby

Chanukah is the festival of lights.

So begins that most consolatory Adam Sandler holiday song, and in honor of this most festive of holidays, I bring you a post that’s sure to shine brighter than your menorah on the 8th day.

Chanukah, Hanukah, Hanukkah, or Chanukka--not matter how you say it, spell it or spit it, this holiday is about all things bright. I know I did a post a while back about things that glimmer and glisten, but it is only appropriate that you all know that now is no time to shy away from the light. If Judah Maccabee can beat the Greeks against all odds, we deserve to thank him by honoring him in the only way I see fit--sequins. Let's make some miracles, shall we?

Cheap and functional, this hat (especially for you married folk) screams of adorableness.

Any black outfit that you frummies so love to wear will certainly pop with this belt. Not to mention the cinching capabilities will only enhance the slimming illusion that wearing all black does for you. A double dose of skinny. Yay.

Hello, showstopper. Nice to meet you. This stunning cardigan is sure to catch someone’s eye—and then blind them.

Subtlety and sequins rarely go hand-in-hand, but this shirt blends the neutral and the colorful, the matte and the shiny PERFECTLY. I would totally get this one if I were you.

Who can say no to UGGS? Seriously, try and say it. It’s like Jim Carey trying to lie in Liar Liar. So, instead of fighting the inevitable, why don’t you get yourself a pair of these sparklers, k?

Somewhere along the way, wearing sequins became casual enough to be considered a 'Tee (Tshirt)', but I'm OK with that, so I bring you this cuteness in the form of the ultimate tshirt. Pretty.

Allover Sequin Tee

Now, I know this dress is just short of being 100% tzniut, but O.M.G. Stunning is not even the word. I’m not even going to begin to describe the awesomeness that is this dress, so just go buy it.

So, do you feel like a firework on the 4th of July yet? Lucky for us Jews, we happen to have a whole grasp on the illuminating times of Chanukah, so you should all transition very nicely into a bright and glistening wardrobe. I wish you all a wonderful and happy Chanukah, and may you only know fashionable days. Amen.

Happy Chanukah!
