So You Wanna Dress Like a Princess

She came. She saw. She conquered. Sure, she looked a little miffed while doing it all-- it didn't seem like Kate was particularly excited to be in New York (can we blame her-- #FiveMonthsPregnant), but she rose to the fanfare nonetheless, and she looked fabulous doing it. That's why we love her so much. And by we, I clearly mean me. It's an unhealthy obsession.

Speaking of looking fabulous, I know you loved Kate Middleton's LBD she wore her first night here. You know, the lace black dress she wore to the snazzy British dinner. Well, you may not be able to afford a Princess's wardrobe, but nobody said you can't copy it, and copy it you shall. You're welcome.

This dress from ASOS captures almost all of the elements of Kate's Beulah London dress, only it's a fraction of the price (under $100!)-- and slightly longer too! With free shipping both ways, how can you not try this one on. It's the perfect little dress for that special occasion, or for a random dinner with your Prince and a bunch of rich people in New York. Take your pick. Watch this dress on the runway in the link below to get a true idea of how fabulous this dress is and you'll see just how much like a Princess you can look.

Fashion Craving

Wowzers. It's been FOREVER since I have done a Fashion Craving post. I guess I haven't wanted something that badly as much as I want these two pairs of shoes. One is the Lori from Kate Spade, and the other is the Glitter by Michael Kors. I feel 100% secure when I tell you that upon seeing these pairs of shoes there was a significant amount of drool. I just don't know which one to choose! Both are obviously the "perfect" shoe, and the Michael Kors shoe is way more wallet-friendly, but I want them both. Both have the perfect round toes, the nice heel height, the respectable platform (if at all), and essential colors; I like the heel shape on the Kors pump a bit better, but I love and adore the Kate Spade one too. Advice and help would be more than welcome!

Fashion Craving

Woah. Baby. I haven't done a fashion craving in a really long time, and that's because I haven't fallen in love with anything in a really long time (Ryan Gosling aside, of course). These Tory Burch wedges have wiggled their way into my heart and now I cannot let them go. Just as Valentine's Day approaches, I have found a new love in my life; 4 inches of patent leather loveliness. I need a life. And a Valentine. And these wedges (in both colors).

Fashion Craving

Oh my polka dot!

Courtesy of my favorite store ever, ASOS, this is the classiest polka dotted thing I have ever seen in my life and I want it. I need it. Oh baby. Oh baby. (10 points to the person who gets that reference--comment below, of course, if you get it!).

Now, I know this may be a little less on the modest part with that sheer-exposed neckline and sleeve, but I know it will appeal to many of you, and that's why I post it. If you love it as much as I do (and are willing to dish out the big bucks for it--which I am not) then ENJOY!

And remember, ASOS has free shipping both ways, so go ahead and at the very least try it on! You're welcome!

Gimme Gimme Gimme!

OMG! I want this dress in so many ways that it actually hurts. A note to all my future bridesmaids--this is what you will be wearing at my wedding. SJP looked UH-MAZING in Cannes wearing this Elie Saab dress and it is the most stellar piece of clothing ever formed out of fabric I have ever seen.

OK, OK, maybe I am getting a bit carried away, but I would certainly be willing to see this price tag on this baby and use a few paychecks to cover the cost. Unless there is a loyal reader out there who really, truly loves me enough to buy it. Any takers? I'll be your best friend-- the Charolette, Samantha and Miranda to your Carrie, all in one! (Did my calling you Carrie help my cause in any way?)

Fashion Craving

Woah. I would join the army if it meant I could have this military coat. Now, I know this is not standard issue, and you certainly can't find this at any army surplus store, but this coat is officially on my wish list. This Nanette Lepor "Poison Ring" Stretch Wool Faille Military Coat is busy enough to catch someone's eye, but subtle and classy enough to not be ostentatious.

If you want to get in on this craving with me, click here

I hear that in the army you have to obey the rules. Well nothing rules quite like fashion, so choose this coat, and be the ultimate soldier in the battle of good vs. bad (taste, that is).

OK, I get it, I took the analogy too far. Enjoy, my dears.
